Or a virtual machine to run windows. :)
Yeah but then you've still got to purchase Adobe, Corel, Ulead, Quark,
Nuance, etc and why pay all that money to run VPC?
Anyway, I don't understand the economics behind saving a few quid and
jeopardizing thousands? :-)

And the sad thing is that the apps my still not run properly in a
"virtual" windows session. Even CrossOver cautions that not all windows
apps will run, and that's true.

And of course MS software.
Urbuttoo can't run any of the above unless you use wine. But if you have
to do that then who cares.

WRONG! Ubuntu has free open source alternatives for just about ALL software
that people have ever run under Windows. And in most cases, the free
software alternatives do everything their commercial counterparts can do!

Also...

Actually means...

"The free software alternatives cannot do everything
their commercial counterparts can do!"

"And in most cases" epitomic weasel words.

LOL! My bra holds worlds... Cute.

But excellent point. To avoid the Microsoft tax part of which is WPA,
WGA/N, SPP, other buggy DRM, violation of privacy, paying large sums of
money for mediocre (at the best) products just so that as customers we
can regularly be insulted and treated as criminals, etc. People really
have no idea how incredibly expensive the Microsoft tax is until they
have been bent over the table for MS for years before they even realize
something is going on.

LOL - Wait till you manage a business that has to work with people that
Use MS product, your open-source software doesn't work with MS documents
well, doesn't support easy networking, and generally means compromise
when working with MS users.
