the fill-color does not work in Excel 2003

I just purchased MS Office Standard Edition and installed it. However
the"color-fill" does not put a color in a cell. What's going on here? Can
anyone Help? Microsoft DOES NOT stand behind their newly purchased products
unless I purchase support for $35.00, then they don't give a shit if the
problem is solved or not. No wonder they have class action suits all the
time. Also, unless I use THEIR browser, many sites don't work.

no colour in xl

Hi

I had this problem and it was in all MS office modules.

This Is How I Cured it

Go to Control Panel, Accessibility, Display, Untick High Contrast Box. You May Find that It changes Your desktop Picture and Move your Icons Around a bit.

Reboot and Low and Behold You have Colour in Xl Publisher etc.
