get is the dreaded red x !!...I have been researching both on newsgroups and
google and have tried all repairs that have been shown, as well as checked my
internet options, gone through my firewall and ad blocking software and still
nothing ??..Someone did mention ( sfc /scannow ) and I am willing to do do
that however when I begin that it tells me to insert my windows xp pro cd...I
am running xp home so why would it ask me that ??....My system consists of xp
home..(SP1A ..had conflicts with sp2 and removed) Norton security 2004 (all
updated) Webroot's spysweeper (all updated) a Linksys befw11s4 router (latest
firmware )and if you need it...A Intel 865perl motherboard,,,Intel pentium 4
(2.8 gig) processor..
1gig of ddr ram...Any other questions or info that I can supply please let

Since I don't know what "all repairs that have been shown" are, I don't
know if you've tried this:

Webpage Images Not Displayed Correctly - This can occur if value of
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif\Content_Type or
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg\Content_Type are set incorrectly. Quit IE, run
regedit and find the 1st key: double-click Content Type value in right
pane and type "image/gif" without quotes in Value Data box. Do the same
(only "image/jpg") for the other key.
