the categories in the "My Computer" are messed up

hello all. this is not a major problem only a nuisance.
the categories in "My Computer" are messed up. if there
is a floppy/CDROM drive connected, the category reads
as "Other". the "Local Disks" category is now "L" and an
image file (which i cannot get rid of) used to be under
the "Other" category and is now under the "I" category.
it does not affect anything else and the computer is
running fine otherwise. is this problem fixible or should
i just change the view and ignore it?
