The Attachments of the Message "your_doc" have been changed.

Hey Fellow office users.

I have a question. When I open an attachment by double clicking the
attachment icon in outlook 2007. A .doc file in this case, Word 2007 opens up
and then I close it just fine.

HOWEVER, after opening and closing the attachment, If I want to reply or
forward the e-mail I get prompted to save changes of the message even though
I DID NOT change the message.

I merely opened and closed the document in word but outlook tells me the
file has changed and asks me to save or not.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
that will happen if the version of word you have is newer than the version
that made the attachment, I think
 
I am also wondering about how to delete this annoyance. I feel that it happens even when the versions are the same.
