hi,
everyonce in a while i open an email attachment and get
the following message.The attachment is a type that is
not yet supported. it is always an email from one of my
friends, both text and/or graphics. i have xp pro and all
the patches. thanks for your attention.

Ask them what file type is being sent. Then install the appropriate
viewer or utility to open it.

It may be necessary, or easiest, to save the attachment to disk - THEN to
open it. If this is a graphics file, take a look at the free
http://irfanview.com. That's a graphics util that displays most file types.

What are the names of the attachments, special the
extensions--the three characters at the end?
