the 0x734305be error

After installing Office 2003, I got the semi-common "The instruction at
0x734305be referenced memory at 0x734305be. The memory could not be 'read'"
error. I happened to remember that this error was very similar or identical
to the error I had after installing voice recognition software. To rememdy
these situations, I had to uninstall all extra languages or use a restore
point, but I want to use voice recognition. How can I solve these types of
errors without wasting the product I just installed? I can keep Office in
with no problem, but I had to uninstall my speech recognition program. How
can I use it without this explorer.exe problem occurring? For these that
don't know, this error pops up upon starting up windows and launching most
programs and causes explorer to reload. It is quite annonying.

You can try checking out exactly which module is causing this error.

Open a CMD window and enter the following command:

PSTAT

This will give you a listing of all the loaded modules and their
addresses.

Hint - if you use PSTAT > c:\pstat.txt then the results will be saved
in a text file that you can open in Notepad and/or move to another
application for searching or sorting.

What you are looking for is the module with the highest value load
address that is less than 0x734305be. That will be the actual
culprit.

Good luck

Alright, that looks fairly promising... unfortunatley running that from the
CMD screen didn't work so I had to find it in my Visual Basic folder and then
direct DOS there, but then it worked out fine, I even saved it. Unfortunately
as well, I don't really understand what I am looking at, or which column to
compare to, because nothing started with Ox or had a be in it that I could
see. Any more info on analyzing the results? I don't currently have speech
recognition installed, so it isn't currently an issue, but I will have Dragon
naturallyspeaking soon so I'd like to resolve this soon.
Also, once I find the "culprit", how do I fix it? I mean, if it belongs to
software I want to use, how would I go about resolving the issue.
Thanks a lot for the support!

Sorry to bump my own thread, but my issue remains unresolved, and it seems
like it was getting somewhere. Can anyone else help out? Thanks!
