Thank you for your support

I wanted to extend a "Thank You" for everyone's assistance
with my question yesterday ("Prevent Deletion of a Word
Document"). I received no responses or feedback whatsoever
while "What is a template?" and "Should I read all the
chapters in my textbook...I have an exam" get responses.
Riduculous. I guess only the easy questions get answers
around here. Thanks for your support.

Sarcasm will not help your cause.
No-one is under any obligation to answer any questions in this forum, and
those that are off topic or off the wall are likely to be ignored or at
least deferred.
The probable answer to your question is that it is not possible to prevent
the deletion of any document, that can be accessed. Thus you can control who
has access by the operating system (some operating systems) or network, but
otherwise there is no way of preventing deletion. Certainly not from within
Word and this is a Word group.

Thank you Graham and Jay. I apologize for being rude...I
was frustrated seeing the "easy" questions being addressed
while my post was being ignored. I appreciate you taking
the time to respond and provide an answer to my original
post as well.

Thanks for the reply. We "regulars" take some pride that the Word newsgroups
are relatively free of flames and other unpleasantness, and concentrate on
being helpful. It's always nice to hear that that's appreciated.
