TFT Monitor Buying Help. NEC - ViewSonic - Samsung - LG 2

Hi I'm about to jump onto the TFT bandwagon and really need some help
choosing a monitor. I have narrowed it down to a few and would like
people's opinion. I also would like to have if possible the glass
screen that some TFT's now have like Sonys X-Black technology or
NEC's OptiClear I think. Also sRGB would be nice but not essential.
As I would mainly use it for web/movies and sometimes Photoshop but not
much as my company now has brand new Eizo CG220 monitors.. By the way
my budget is around £200-260. 12ms or less is a must, plus good colour
rendition.

The Monitors I have narrowed it down to are

Nec MultiSync 1770GX
Nec MultiSync 1770NX (Maybe as it doesn't have the glass screen)

LG 1780U
LG 1780Q
LG172WT (has tv tuner and how dose image compare to the other monitors)

Samsung 730B or 730BF
Samsung 734B

Viewsonic VX724
Viewsonic VA712b
Viewsonic VP171s/VP171b

Xerox XA717i



Also would anyone recommend the TFT that have TV tuners in them or
would I be better off getting a TV tuner card for my PC.

I have a Hyundai 17" TFT with TV tuner built in. Whether it's worth the
extra cost is your judgment call - if this is going to be a monitor all
the time, probably not. Mine was bought as a second screen for my
laptop, but was relocated to the bedroom when SWMBO decided she wanted
to watch TV in bed one night! Mine has RF, composite, VGA and S-video
inputs, all available on seperate channels. I don't recall the cost,
but I'm happy with it.

Just got a 19" ViewSonic VX 912, 8ms for £260 from Watford (online).
ViewSonic has a no dead pixel policy, 3 years' warranty as standard.
It's a lovely bit of kit. Don't forget to d/l the MSoft Cleartype
Tuning Powertoy when you get your screen.

Me my dad, and friend have the viewsonic vg712b, it's great. Although they
do not have a no dead pixel policy unless it has changed in the last month,
only if it is in the centre of the screen.

Just for info, it is generally accepted that the vendor response times
are useless as a standard, since there is no standard definition of
response time and no standard measurement methodology. See Tom's
Hardware, Anantech, etc. for additional.

£260 are u sure.. i cant fine it any where for that price.. could u

From ViewSonic site "On pixels ViewSonic exceeds ISO 13406-2 class II
requirements not allowing for **any**[1] defective (permanently dark
or bright) complete pixel consisting of red, green, and blue sub
pixels (“Zero Pixel Defect Policy”).".
