Text won't wrap - even when I check "Wrap Text" box

I'm trying to get my text to wrap, and it won't - even when I use th
Format Cells > Alignment > Text Control > Wrap Text function. I'v
tried selecting one cell and formatting it, and selecting all cells an
formatting them at the same time. What could I be doin
wrong? Thanks in advance for your help

Make sure Format>Row>Autofit is clicked.

If you are trying to wrap text on merged cells, Autofit won't work.

Merged cells will allow "wrap text" from Format>Cells>Alignment but..........

Excel has a problem auto-fitting merged cells.

You can resize manually or via Macro. Jim Rech has written
code for this.

The best cure is DON"T USE MERGED CELLS. They cause no end of problems with
copying, pasting, sorting, filtering.

Thanks for your response - it's definitely a merged-cell issue, as al
my cells are merged! But not from now on. ;
