text with line breaks

How can I save my files as text with line breaks? This option seems to have disappeared with Office Profession's Word program.

The option is still there, just under a different name. Try "Plain text."

When I upload a plain text file to the internet in the USGenWeb Archives, if I save it as Plain Text, there is no word wrap and the text goes off to the right of the screen until it reaches the end of a paragraph. There was an option in earlier version of Word for save as Text with Line Breaks. Is there an equivalent in the new version?

If you save as TXT, you should get a second level dialog box, with
line breaks as one of the options.
