Text to Speech Error

Deepak

Hi,

I started the tect to speech function in excel and I was
unable to close it.
I checked on the microsoft site and got one link to stop
it.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;326526

I was able to stop the text to speech function.

But now whenever i'm starting excel and trying to type
something i'm getting the message "Text to speech error.
This feature is not installed. Run the setup program and
install it to run from my computer or my network"

I'm unable to resolve the problem.

Anybody with any ideas...

I don't know why speech doesn't work for you but you may be able to turn it
off with a registry entry edit:

-Close Excel if it's open.
-From Start->Run enter and run "regedit" (no quotes).
-Navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Options

("10.0" instead of "11.0" if you have Excel 2002).

-Find the "SpeakOnEnter" item in the right pane and delete it or change its
value to 0.
