text that doesn't wrap

I frequently use Excel as an issues database for projects.

There is one field/column for history in which I input free text and often
paste in text from other sources like email. Many times I find that pasted
text does not wrap. To make the text viewable, I have to manually
[Alt][Enter] to insert line breaks.

Do I have any other option?

Thanks.

Select the column for notes, prress Ctl + 1, Choose the Alignment tab and
click Wrap text.

Beware, Separate paragraphs will be copied into different rows.

Just to add to Peter's post...

If you paste the text into the formula bar (one cell at a time), then the cell
will contain all the paragraphs.
Select the column for notes, prress Ctl + 1, Choose the Alignment tab and
click Wrap text.

for one cell. What could I look for that is preventing the tex
wrap? Thanks, TomBrookly

You sure it's not wrapping?

Lots of people post questions about text not wrapping, but are really
complaining about the rowheight not changing automatically.

Hi Peter. Thanks, but I have tried that to no avail. What I usually do is
copy phrases of text from an email and go to the cell and click the entry
line at the top. Usually, there is already text there, and I might
[Alt][Enter] to start a new line. But when I paste in the text, frequently it
won't wrap, as if there is formatting preventing it from doing so.
