Text is painting 1 line above the caret

When I try to insert text in a textbox, the text is painted one line above
the blinking caret. It does this for all project. When the project is
carried to another machine, the text is painted at the text caret so it
looks like this is a configuration issue on my machine but I'll be darned if
I can figure out what it is. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this
problem?

I've got Office 2k7 installed on a Windows 2k3 server.

This will sound stupid but it is probably the problem! Install a local
default printer driver. If you already have try another one!

Problem solved. Sort of. The alignment issue was the result of the default
printer. I installed an HP 4V/Postscript printer driver and routed its
output to a file and then the vertical alignment operated as expected. It
still goes wonky when I switch back to my actual physical printer.
