text inside small circles

hello, I have a bunch of small circles in my presentation that I need to put
one letter in each (6pt font fit perfectly in the center of the circles in
ppt2003). in 2007, the letter is out to the side of the circles. is there a
way to keep the text in the middle of the circle?

thanks!

scuba dude,
I'm confused, seems to me if you select your circle and immediately type the
text it should be dead centre in the circle. At least that is the standard
behaviour in PPT 2003 and as far as I know in PPT 2007. If it is not in the
middle, right click the circle and choose format shape, choose textbox on
your left, at the top you should be able to align the text. Does this help?

Make sure you have a certified printer driver installed and set as the
default printer. Here's a list:

(I know, it sounds weird, but it should fix you up.)

I'll try.

Do you actually have a printer hooked up to the computer? If so, click the
link -- here it is again --
http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/category.aspx?bcatid=1044&tabid=1 and find
your printer on the list. Download the driver that says it's for your
version of Windows. After you download it, double-click to install it.

To set that printer as the default printer, go to Start | Control Panel |
Printers and Faxes (or you may be able to just go directly to Start |
Printers and Faxes). Right-click the printer in the list and choose "set as
default printer." Then close the window.

You should be all set then.

You might also check the website for the printer manufacturer -- they should
have Windows XP- and Windows Vista-specific drivers available. (I was told
that the "Windows certified" drivers are all on Windows Marketplace at the
link above, but I'm not seeing very many Windows XP -- and zero Windows
Vista -- drivers there.)

If you don't have a printer attached to the computer, just follow the
instructions here:

How to install a local printer driver
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00605.htm

Then set that as the default printer.

Look at the printer manufacturer's website, then.
