text in message body disappears

I can see the beginning of the message in my Desktop alert window. If I close
it or wait until it disappears and go from one application to Outlook, the
message is there but the text from the body has disappeared. If I'm "quick"
and click the Alert window, I always get the message. This has only happened
and only sometimes from someone using University web mail. I am using Outlook
2003, Windows XP SP2, Windows Firewall off, ZA free Firewall, AVG free.

Check your Rules and also check View>Arrange By>Current View to make sure
it's set to view All Messages.

Hi Mary, Thank you for your post. I actually am an IT Professional with
several years experience under my belt. I know that I don't know everything,
but I do have what you suggested set up correctly. I also know it will take
someone besides me to figure this one out. Is there something else I may have
overlooked?

So far, when I receive emails that behave this way, they are replies, with
the original message attached, but it's the reply message that disappears
once the message is seen in the preview/reading pane or when the message is
opened full screen. It has happened from 2 different senders, both using
University web mail.
