text in a table cell won't wrap, just widens table

When typing text in a table with just one cell, instead
of wrapping the text as it should, it just keeps
extending the table width wider and wider. What might be
the cause of this?

The table is set to be 700 pixels wide. The cell width &
height are unselected.

Try setting the cell width. If it's a single cell table, the width would be
700 pix.
