Could anyone please tell me how to send a text box behind text in cells? I have no trouble in MS Word but cannot get the same thing to work in Excel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

There is no equivalent to the option you get on Word
of 'send behind text' or 'bring in front of text'. The
order option refers to objects.

The best you can do is set the box as transparent.

Thanks for the response, Richard. The only thing I could find to set as transparent is the fill color in the text box, not the text itself in the box. Is there something I'm missing here

Insert your text box where required, right mouse click
select format text box, fill colour "no fill colour". Line
colour, no line.
This might help you
