Text boxes and shapes

I am using Word 2003, I created a document in Print Layout mode, with a sreen
shot, that has text boxes and arrows pointing to the screen shot, when I go
into normal view, they disappaer, and when I go to web view, they are not
even close to where they are suppose to be. Is there anyway to fix this.

Hi Cyndi-

Re Normal View: Drawn graphics _are not_ supposed to be visible in tha
tview, which is predominantly intended for more efficient entry & revision of
text, especially in longer documents. Graphics slow things down immensely.

As to the "shifting" of the drawn objects, there could be several reasons
for that, but Word is well known for that type of behavior. One factor is
that web files and print files actually handle content differently, and
switching back & forth between Web & Print Layout Views can cause the
behavior. Other factors come into play as well. I can't address that issue
because I avoid using Word for web design work... especially if there is any
amount of graphic content. You might want to search the NG for additional
insight on the 'pros & cons' of using Word for creating web pages. I believe
you'll find that it is generally discouraged, and there are much better
programs for that purpose. Even Publisher might be a better way to go.

Thanks so much for your input, I had a feeling that was the deal with normal
view, and as far as the web view goes, I don't need it to look good, cause I
don't plan on using it, it was more my boss that wanted to know. Appreicate
your help
