Text Box Issues for 2003 vs. 2007

My company is running a test of 2007 on some people's machines. We have this
Excel file with a graph in it. On the graph there is a text box that
contains some additional information about the graph. If someone in 2003
makes a change and saves it, the text box appears in Print Preview for users
of both versions. If someone in 2007 makes a change, it no longer appears in
the 2003 version in Print Preview. When we save the file in 2007, no
compatability issue warnings pop up. Is there a way around this?

Thanks for any help!!

This may be an issue of Office 2007 (excel included) saving in a format
slightly different than in Office 2003. I know for Word for the longest time
documents were saved under a .doc extension. In 2007 that switched to .docx
by default. It's Microsofts way of keeping up with some sort of newer
technologies - I dont know the details. And I dont know what the Ecel
equivalant is for 2007 - .xls for older Excel versions and .xlsx (maybe??)
for Excel 2007.

Anyway that's what it sounds like. In Excel 2007 choose "save as" instead
of save and select the option to save in Word 97-2003 format (all those
versions used the save format). That'll likely fix the issue of seeing what
each other does.

There's a more permanent fix for Office 2007 where you can change the
default save format, but I do not know how to direct you there. I'm not in
front of a 2007 program right now, and I'm afraid that by memory I'll run you
all over the computer trying to remember the process. Perhaps someone else
will offer it up, if that's the issue. You can also search online for say
"saving 2007 office default" or something similar.
