Text Box Can Grow property Not Working

Access 2000 (SP3) under WinXP Professional:

I have a Form whose "Default View" property is set to "Continuous Forms".
On my form, there is only the Detail section where I have a text box that is
bound to a Memo field whose "Can Grow" property is set to "Yes". However,
when I view the form, the text box does not grow to show all the data that is
in this field. I have even set the Detail sections "Can Grow" property to
"Yes", thinking maybe this will solve the problem.

For instance, the data that my text box is bound to contains 300 characters,
but has a width that can only display about 30 characters. I was expecting
the text box to grow in height to display all 300 characters.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

The CanGrow property only applies to when the form is printed. It is not
active in any form view. You can use the zoom feature to view the memo
field in a larger box.
