test seagate stt20000a drive and software

My friend just gave me a seagate stt20000a drive with some tapes.

I install the drive, xp and device manager recognize it . However,
nothing is shown in "MY COMPUTER"

I know i need backup software to test the drive.

Is there any free software so i can test it whether it is faulty?
