Test file / install?

Is there a test file or installation of some kind that will
test whether MS AntiSpyware is functioning? Something like
the EICAR.COM file that can be used to test Anti Virus
apps. Thanks,

The need for such a tool has been mentioned--I think something like this may
be provided before the product is completed.

At the moment, this is an effective test.

At a command prompt, go to \Windows or \WINNT, depending on your Windows
version, and
md winlogon,exe

(i.e. create a folder called winlogon,exe)

you will get a quick red alert. Neither choice in the alert will, in fact,
do anything useful. to get rid of the alert do:

rd winlogon.exe
