There is no need to repost. I didn't reply to you yet
since I'm having trouble thinking about what to do next.

Have you tried uninstalling terminal services and purging
your system of TS related registry entries, then
reinstalling?

I would try searching your regsitry (After you back it up)
and remove things that you know reference the terminal
service. Maybe the permissions are incorrect on one of
them.

Alternatively, you could try running regmon or filemon on
your system while you install terminal services to see
where the problem might be, but this might be a whole lot
of work.

I am having the same problem with the installation. I have three web servers and two of them installed terminal services correctly, the third one will not show the termsrv.exe in the list of installed services. The icons for the services shows up just fine in the control panel. I have tried add/remove programs and restarting the server each time. I have even tried it in safe mode to not avail.
