term server web blocker?

Stacie

I have 5 terminal servers and I need to get software that blocks specific
web sites. The software I have found doesn't support a terminal server
environment. Does anyone know of any that does web site blocking for
terminal servers? I don't want to use the routers or the proxy server. TIA

while I know you stated that you don't want to use a proxy-
style device, if you were to use Microsoft's ISA server,
it will do exactly what you want it to. It has am
extension called URLScan that can filter out websites.

If the list of websites is fairly static you could just
modify the HOSTS file on the TS, i.e.

here is the skinny on blocking web access.....you either pay upfront of
monthly.

Upfront......ISA
monthly....sonicwall or those others that cost like $200/year for
subscription service.

Basically, whatever is financially viable at the time.
