I work in the IT department of my company. I am running a windows xp pro
desktop and I want to monitor the temporary internet files on a remote xp pro
desktop by doing a start - run - \\ipaddress\c$\documents and
settings\username... The problem is that when I hit the remote machine it
overwrites the remote temp internet files with the one's on my machine.
Anyone every see this? Why would this happen?

Thanks

Actually it's not, it just looks like it is. The Temporary Internet Files
folder is a special folder in Windows that when browsed using Explorer will
show the contents of *your* temporary internet files. If you browse the
remote folder via the command line you'll see a very different set of
contents than if you use Windows Explorer.
