Hi All,
I was wondering if any of you have had an issue where an excel file is
saved to a network drive but is never renamed to the original filename?
For some reason, the filename remains some strange 8 character filename
such as 6E9B6500. From what I understand is that the temporary file is
renamed to the original filename when an excel file is saved.
I've updated our virus scanner realtime driver and checked the security for
the users trying to save the excel files as per the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base articles.
Q291070
Q214032
Q113600
We do not use any replication software as mentioned in the knowledge base
article.
Is anyone able to give me some advice on what they did to fix this issue if
they have experienced it?
TIA,
Mark
