TEMPLATE SAVE DISK FULL

G

GUN STEELE

As developers for the Ag industry, we have a simple Word
2000 doc with several header/footer items and a watermark
that will save as a .doc, but if we try to save as a .dot
template; the disk full dialogue appears (space is not a
problem). Have searched the various knowledge sources
with no success. Hate to have to open the old document
every time and delete the last letter info, but no other
recourse if no one knows of a solution.

Create a new blank template (File | New | Template radio button). Then
paste the contents of the .doc file (after deleting the last letter info)
into this blank .dot file and save. To select all the text, use CTRL+A,
CTRL+C and then to paste put the cursor in the blank .dot and CTRL+V.
