Is there a template that would create a small manufacturing access database?
Templace similar to the order entry or inventory control.

Further to what Steve said.....

"Manufacturing" is an overgeneralization. You should decide specifically
what you want the DB to do track.

If you want it all (Products, Bills of Material, Work Orders, Orders,
automatic inventory modifications based on what the instance of manufacturing
used & created, purchasing, inventory control, then you have something that
is extremely complicated from both a database and implementation side, and
(assuming that you company has not used such before) which also typically
requires creating and changing many of the ways that your company operates.
Such is actually full Enterprise software, and more complicated than anythign
I've seen implemented / handled in these forums.

Alternatively, you might start simple. Create a "Products" or "Parts"
table with all of the fields that are useful to you, and created and enter
part/product numbers for such if you haven't already.

The manufacturing company I work for created about 60 different Access
databases when they did not want to program the AS400 enterprise system.
This may have helped move processes forward at the time but has proven to be
a big mistake. The person who created the databases had little experience
and has since left the company. Since the IT department refuses to support
these Access database, there now is a situation created when they crash, or
get corrupted. What a mess - no documentation either. Think carefully
before going this route. There are db size limitations. With no IT support
the issue became who is responsible for the databases. The best route
suggested to you is to start first by planning out the processes you want to
automate. Flow out and understand the processes and get agreement on the
flows before you even start creating a database. Hope this information
helps. Good luck.
