Hi,

I've just bought a new case that came with a tempereture display at the
front and a temperature sensor attached to the end of a wire inside. I
feel silly asking but where should the sensor be placed?
Hoping somebody can help.

Thanks

Depends what you want to monitor with it. I've got the one on mine stuck to
the underneath of the CPU with thermal tape.

Anywhere something is important to you. For a long time I had it stuck
to the cooler on some memory. It didn't change much. When I got my WD
Raptor 10K HD, I put it on there. They are known for being a tad hot.

That usually isn't necessary. Well, if you have a motherboard that gives
you that information already.

I just have my temp sensor hanging out loose in the case; my mobo has
a CPU sensor built in. The sensor wire is extremely delicate though;
be very careful if tying it up out of the way.
