I got an error (one where send this info to microsoft) this morning on 2
files which were in a temp folder.
Though I should of written which temp folder. Thinking though it is the one
in doc & set/owner/localsettings/temp.
Should I clean this one out? several files in it. I remember in previous
versions of windows was easy.
Find the temp folder on the HD and clean it out.
Most of the other temp folders are empty.

A safer and easier way to clear the temp folder would be to run Disk Cleanup
utility.

Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Cleanup

After scanning your computer, a box will come up asking you which files you
would like to delete. Check the box next to "Temporary Files" and click OK.

hello,

I do that, but there are still a lot of files in

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp

Maybe this will help:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/cleantemp.htm

Also try:

Type %TEMP% in Start, Run dialog.
Select all files in the Temp folder and delete them.
Some files in the TEMP folder may be in use. If so, ignore the error and
continue deleting the remaining files in that folder.

It is okay to delete the files in that folder. Applications use the Temp
folder to store information in order to increase the speed of the programs
when they are in use. The %TEMP% function will get you to the same Temp
folder a lot faster, since that folder is hidden.

Hope this helps.
