Hi,

This is the user temp folder as defined in the environmental variables. Can
it contain a virus? Sure, any folder can. How do you remove it? Make sure
the virus is disabled (not running) and delete both the file and the startup
point it is using (often in the system registry). The easiest way to do this
is in Safe mode.

im having this weird trouble...
in my Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5, i have this
folder named 89UFKT6V, and it has these 3 files without an extension, named,
network=gamespy@site=3dactionplanet&pagetype=hosted&genre=3&regage... and it
goes on with a bunch of scrambled letters and numbers at the end.
also in the Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5, i have
another folder named OHYZ4HQZ, with 1 file the same kind of file that i
described above.
i tried deleting this, but i get
'cannot delete NETWOR~1: Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.'

so first of all, what the hell are these files?
second, what does the error message mean and how can i delete it?

If you're acquainted with Task Manager open it up and look for anything
you're not used to seeing, right-click on it (or them) and select End
Process and then try deleting those files again.

Common. That said, if you aren't having any issues, leave it all be. If so
inclined, just because:

Removes your Internet history in Internet Explorer. Clears the address list
drop-down, cached files, history and cookies. In Windows it clears the TEMP
folder and Recycle Bin, the run history, recent documents, and find files
history. It also deletes locked files ("index.dat" and files that are in
use by applications).
