If anyone could help please,
I have been trying to use telnet on xp to log into network
at work. In Windows 98 and ME I would just go to start-
run-> type in telnet and I would have to connect. On xp
if I try the same thing after I type in telnet the program
sort of looks like MS-DOS and it says something like:
C:telnet>
It doesnt give any options on top of the screen either.

where is the dos prompt on xp? I tried to go to program
files and there was an icon there, would not let me
start. I also tried at run to use ms-dos and it would not
start either.

Standard Windows XP puts an icon on the Accessories menu.

Just run "command.com" to get a command line prompt.

Search Help on your computer for "DOS" to find out this and more.
