telnet: dos vs windows

On my server2003 system when I type in 'telnet' from the
Run command line, I get a nice Windows window with menus
etc.
However, when I create a shortcut, or run the telnet.exe
in windows\system32, I get a clunky DOS box. Searching the
disk reveals only one telnet.exe file.

Can I get the nice Windows telnet interface using a
shortcut?

What you're using is HyperTerminal

Programs|Accessories|Communications|HyperTerminal
