Telephone numbers

I use MS Outlook 2002, and have a tel number problem. Where I live all
you dial is the 7 numbers without the area code for local numbers.
When I started using MS Outlook it let me enter the number without the
area code and it stayed that way. Now when I enter a new contact and
enter the 7 digit number it automatically adds the area code.

Has anyone come across this. I use Outlook to diam my numbers for me
and if I dial the number using the are code it will not go through.

Any help will be appreciated.

Have you set the dialing rules in the Control Panel > Phone and Modem
options
