Telephone number

I have Windows XP and Outlook 2002 - for some reason it hangs when I try to
save and close when putting in new telephone numbers. It's OK when putting
in new names and addresses though. I think it is causing problems with
synching with my PDA via ActiveSync 3.7. Can anyone help?

I've been looking at the knowledge base it may be to do with something
parsing the telephone numbers into a different format?
