You will never have a phone number outside of North America? Or one
with an extension?

i am trying to find out the same thing. i want my phone
number field that looks like this 999-999-9999 to look
like this 9999999999 in access 2002 it seems hard....

Try using the Input Mask against the field when in design view of the table.
