Telephone # format

I have the telephone number formatted in my access database table, forms, &
queries and it works great (it is formatted as ex: (xxx) xxx-xxxx). But when
I merge the telephone number into my Word document through mail merge, it is
not keeping the format. It appears as xxxxxxxxxx. Any suggestions?
 
Have you tried putting your letter into access as a report? If that works,
you wouldn't need to worry about the merge and formatting error in MS Word.
