Dick: Thanks for your comment! I make most of my discoveries by letting
WinHTTrack download all the linked pages from promising sites, setting it to
download to two levels. It gets a lot of crud, but occasionally a gem turns
up. But you won't tell anyone my secret, will you?

For a minimal fee, you can subscribe to the paid version...it's well worth
the $10 or so a year, and one of the few I found worthy of paying for

Have you tried this?

It's very important to have a Site Map so search engines can find all of
your pages.

Also many of your visitors use Site Maps to navigate your Website to get
where they need to go instead of looking for links.

It's free so have fun with it and don't forget about our other Web
Design software and services like Search Engine Submission and Web
Hosting.

Just point CoffeeCup SiteMapper to where your Website is located at on
your hard drive and it will create a nice page you can use for a Site
Map.

All of your Web pages will be listed and linked in order and the page
will match your existing colors, backgrounds, etc...

I second that - I've been a subscriber for three years now - worth every

Unless, of course, you happen to have a few that you don't want to list
<grin>. You should see my robots.txt (and my .htaccess for that matter).

IMO, but I admit that this is personal, a good web site has a clear
menu structure from which the desired page can be reached with a
minimum of clicks, a site map is unnecessary in such a web site!

Dick

I guess folks will have to start looking for your hidden pages. said:

Not every website has this philosophy, so it may be a useful tool after
all.

Nice page and I am sure we might all quibble with some of his picks.

However I have to disagree very strongly with his pick of Ewido for
Best Free Trojan Scanner/Trojan Remover (number 6).

I tried Ewido and was hugely disappointed.

I've been trying out Ewido for the last week or two.
So far, I can't say anything about it has caused be to be hugely disappointed. ;-)
Did you discover another freeware trojan scanner/remover that you liked better?

As I recall, Ewido constantly phones home to its makers and (forgive
my memory) but I recall it is far from being a pure trojan/freeware
remover.

Were you using version 3.0?
I haven't seen any evidence of it phoning home.
The only Internet access I allow is for the updates, which are daily and very small.
AFAIK, a²(a-squared) and Ewido are the only 2 freeware Trojan Scanners.
According to Tech Support Alert, a² is not quite as effective as Ewido.
