I am using Outlook as a platform to manage all of my Files, Messages, and
Tasks.
I'm only using the Folder system, not the tasks folders or the messages
foders. This has driven me into some modification of Outlook usage. My
Outlook is more primitive than it was designed for, but much more effective.
The main reason of the effectiveness is the usage of one single tree system
for all items, as oposed to the using of the trees throughout the office
products: Explorer, Outlook Tasks and Outlook Messages.
It was great feature the one introduced with Outlook 2003, the increased
size for the *.pst file.
Does this serve as a suggestion for Microsoft to change the Outlook design
at all?
Just remember one thing: overusing trees is very disorganizing for the work.
Is there any body in the world who is just buying Explorer, or just Outlook?
No! Everyone is buying all of your package. So why should have you
everused the tree.
SO far I have called this tool the UNITREE. The name acknowledges the
inventors of the tree system for saving files. For me it is like having a
single remote control for all TV, Xbox, PC, Air Conditioner, with some little
(unavoidable) exceptions!
