Tasks in public folders

Can you restrict editing/posting of tasks in an Outlook Public Folder.

I want to be able to assign tasks that others can view, and possibly update,
but restrict adding new and deleting posts to myself.
 
Set the permissions on that folder that way. You should be Owner and others
will use a custom setting. Start out with Reviewer permissions for the
others and modify that level for the group to achieve the permissions you
want.

From Outlook right-click on the folder in the folder list or navigation pane
and select Properties. Go to the Permissions tab and set the permissions
there.
