I need to transfer the settings, data, etc. for MS Outlook from one
backed up PC to another PC. I found the 2 folders
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
and
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

but this did not seem to transfer the task pad data or the preferences
(like opening in Calendar, etc. Where are these kept and which files
should I copy over to get these on the new PC?

Thanks.

Jeff

..Pst modules hold the Outlook profile data. Usually, you'll find a
primary data store and a Archive.Pst where older data is moved
after a certain period of time. The .Pst modules only store data.
To capture/recover settings of the application you'll need to use
the Office Settings Wizard ( Assuming you have a recent version
of Microsoft Office/Outlook ). It's also a good idea to run the
ScanPst.Exe tool on the data modules. It checks for errors and
keeps the data stores in good shape. ScanPST doesn't have an
icon but can be found in the Office folder.

But not the most recent - it's been removed!

Post to one of the newsgroups under microsoft.public.outlook.*
