Does anyone know the cmd for tasklist in windows xp home
edition? I found the cmd "Tasklist /svc" for windows xp
pro, but i suspect it's limited to pro, for it isn't
recognized using my home edition. I'm trying to find the
list of services that are using svchost on my box.

Thanks alot,

Mike

Hi Mike,

The tasklist command is not supported in WinXP Home. You are limited to what
task manager shows on the processes tab.

Mike,
the Tasklist command is limited to XP Professional.
Alternately, you can download and use PSTools from SysInternals.

Mike,

I've added one more feature to this program. The services description now
contains the path of the service host that ran it.

Yeah, it runs on Pro :) I'll get around to renaming it, as I refine it
more, and make sure everything works the way it should <G>

This small VB 6 utility will show you all running processes and services on
your XP Home system. The contents of the window can be copied and pasted to
the Windows clipboard, if desired. This is version 1, and could undergo
further improvments.

Nice, Doug. And despite the name, runs on Pro and would I think be a
handy alternative there
