Do anyone know how to turn off the description when you
hover over an icon on the taskbar?

Right click on the Icon and select Properties. ON the shortcut tab you'll see "Comments". Remove the contents of this box and that will eliminate the additional displayed text

Thanks Doug, but that only removed the comments. When

you hover you still get a description i.e. Show Desktop
or Launch Microsoft Outlook. Do you know how to get rid
of that totally?
