* Type in regedit
* Click OK
* When the edit registry window opens edit the following key.
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\

* Edit the "ShowInfoTip" and set the Value to 0. To restore set the Value to 1.
* If it is not present create a DWORD value and set the value to 0.
* Close the Registry Edit Window.

Or did you mean you rebooted, and not just logged off as you said above?
If you rebooted, and the changes didn't take effect, then I dunno. That's
the standard procedure. I'll look around and see what else I can find though.
