If you hover over the top edge you will perhaps get an up & down arrow, left
click and hold then drag down. This should reduce the size of the taskbar,
if you are not able to drag then right ckick the taskbar nd remove the
selected "lock taskbar".
The task bar is resizable, like a window. Put the cursor on the edge and
make it turn into a double-headed arrow. Then click and drag it to the size
you want.
If it won't resize, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it and
uncheck "Lock the Taskbar," Then try again.
Also note that if you have toolbars on the task bar on multiple lines, you
won't be able to reduce the task bar size to fewer than that number of
lines. Put all the toolbars on one line first.
Move your mouse to the edge of the taskbar until the mouse arrow turns into
a two-headed arrow. Drag in the direction the arrows point to make it
larger or smaller. To avoid accidentally resetting your taskbar size,
right click on the taskbar and check "Lock the taskbar."
