taskbar size?????????????

the taskbar(in WinXP remains as 0 or about an inch high thereby reducing
viewing page size. i have tried locking the taskbar , resizing it with the
arrow, but it is 1" high or "hiding"--no inbetween???? thanks for the
previous help but it does'nt / (did'nt) work? any other ideas? i wonder if
some program installed itself or something like that?? thank you
 
Click on the top of the taskbar, and drag it to the size you want, then lock
the taskbar so it can't be accidentally resized again.
