Taskbar Notification Area

I want to have the Outlook Express "You have new Email" show in the
notification area of the taskbar. I go into properties,but it is in past
items. How do I get it into "Current Items" so it will show up on the
taskbar.

Doesn't matter that it's in Past Items. Just change the behavior to Always
Show.
