Taskbar fix... sort of

As with many, my Vista Business taskbar was going nuts a while after
rebooting, requiring yet another reboot. After hours talking with Microsoft,
and after disabling one process after another and not finding the answer, I
finally did. Sort of. I installed the new Tweak for Vista:
(http://www.totalidea.com/content/tweakvi/tweakvi-index.html) and enabled
some of that program's taskbar options (fade, etc.), and Tweak seems to have
either stabilized the taskbar, or taken control of it. Either way, my taskbar
now works, and keeps working. I'm giving up on finding a fix other than Tweak.

Nope... that didn't fix it. After a while, even with Tweak installed, the
taskbar became corrupted again. But, I have found a fix - at least
temporarily. Don't use the digital cable from the docking station to the
computer. Going analog isn't quite as nice, but at least the taskbar remains
usable. Hope someone finds a fix of the root problem, so we can go back to
digital.

Is this the Vista task bar at the bottom of the screen or something in
Outlook?

It's the taskbar that's at the bottom of the Vista window, that contains the
date, notifications, open programs, the Windows start button, etc. It's been
corrupting and many have had the same problem. Come to find out, it's a
problem with the bios that is supplied with Dell computers, and it requires a
new Vista compatable bios from Dell, and a flash. After that, you'll have to
reinstall Vista. Yippee.
