How do I change my taskbar color? It's the ugliest color I have ever seen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thomas:

Thanks for the reply. My color scheme was windows vista basic, I am using
windows vista home edition. I was able to change most of my advanced settings
on vista basic, but there is no selection for task bar and the horizontal bar.

Also, some of the advanced settings don't work.
For instance, I selected windows active border to red, but it didn't change
And color selections for several items are grayed out: caption buttons, 3D
object, disabled item (but the font has a color selection even though there
is no font). I am not a software tester and I really don't care about other
colors, but I want to change my task bar and side bar color. Is there any way
I can chage it? I don't think the version of my vista should make any
different. If it's not the feature, then they should change it and add it to
the color advance selection.

Thanks!
Jennifer

Hello again Jennifer,

I'm sorry that the Help topic I pointed you to did not help you solve your
problem. I have passed your product feedback suggestion about being able to
change the taskbar and sidebar colors to the correct feature team at
Microsoft. If I learn anything from them that might help you, I will reply
again to your message.

I had the same problem also.. I had google desktop and my taskbar looked
great... google got annoying so i removed it and my taskbar turned to a
boring gray thing... i resolved this problem by right clicking on my desktop
clicking personalize then windo color and apperance icon. now you can select
a different shade of (yourcolorhere)ish greyish black.
